Management of pediatric alopecia areata: A review
Abstract Alopecia areata (AA) is a nonscarring hair loss commonly from the scalp ranging from small patches to large areas. Though it does not cause significant physical discomfort, its visibility and disfigurement create much psychological and emotional burden on patient’s quality of life. The situation is much unbearable in the case of children. In this review different established and experimental treatment modalities for children with AA are discussed.
